By Paul Joseph

Luxury American fashion label Michael Kors has followed in the footsteps of its French counterpart Chopard by entering a partnership with the iconic Movie franchise James Bond.

Following Chopard and Bond's work on creating a new jewellery range, Michael Kors has now come up with a collaborative, limited edition bag range to be released just in time for the launch of the latest Bond movie, No Time to Die”.

The stunning capsule collection will include three pieces – the Michael Kors Bancroft satchel ($1,750), which is featured in the movie, a Bond carryall ($2,350) in calf leather, and Bond duffel ($1,950) in luggage-hued cotton canvas.

Speaking about the partnership, Michael Kors said, “I’ve long believed that when it comes to fashion and film, you can’t have one without the other.

“Movies have always been a source of inspiration for me, and I think when you watch a great film, the clothing plays a huge role in transporting you to another place and time. Great fashion, like great movies, can leave a lasting impression.

“And when it comes to the “007” movies, which are all about speed and glamour, our accessories are a perfect fit.”

The ‘MKC x 007 Bond Capsule Collection’ will be available in select Michael Kors stores worldwide as well as online from late March.

Born in 1959, Michael Kors is best known for designing classic American sportswear for women. In 2013, he was selected for ‘The Time 100’, the magazine's list of the 100 most influential people in the world.
