Montblanc E-Strap Turns your Watch ‘Smart’

The leather ‘E-Strap’ has been created for Montblanc’s Timewalker Urban Speed collection of timepieces and can be tethered to iPhones or Androids over Bluetooth to relay notification content. The strap will also fit any watch with the right size lugs.

Featuring a specially designed woven carbon fibre texture dubbed “Extreme Montblanc”, the strap connects to the timepiece by looping around the spring bars and across the back of the watch. This ensures that the watch will remain attached even if one of the bars breaks.

A 0.9-inch monochromatic OLED touchscreen shows calls, texts, email, appointments, and other basic content, while users can also enjoy some fitness tracking features with the built-in pedometer as well as the ability to control music playback.

The E-Strap attachment can be purchased individually for €250, but buyers of any of the watches in the Timewalker Urban Speed collection will get one included for the price of the watch. Watches in the Timewalker collection are priced at between €2,990 and €4,690.

Montblanc was founded by Claus-Johannes Voss, Alfred Nehemias and August Eberstein in Germany in 1908.
