Montblanc reveal 2013 Only Watch Auction Timepiece

Montblanc has unveiled its contribution to the 2013 edition of the prestigious Only Watch auction which takes every other year during the Monaco Yacht Show.

Designed and developed specifically for the auction, the Nicolas Rieussec Rising Hours timepiece boasts comes with an all-black avatar and features a black dial with grain d’orge guilloché décor, a traditional decorative watch-making technique.

Staying loyal to Montblanc’s original Nicolas Rieussec Rising Hours series, the one-off watch comes with the same day and night indicator that feature across the range.

Other notable elements include a a 43 mm stainless steel case polished with a glossy Diamond Like Carbon finish, a dome in sapphire crystals that offers water resistance up to 30 metres, and a black alligator-skin strap with contrasting red-gold colored stitching

The 2013 edition of the Only Watch charity auction, which takes place next month in Monaco, will represent the fifth consecutive year that Montblanc has participated in the event.

The Only Watch auction was established in 2008 by former Monaco Yacht Show managing director Luc Pettavino, whose son was diagnosed with duchenne muscular dystrophy, a degenerative neuromuscular disease affecting 1 in 3,500 young boys around the world.
