MYS 2012: Interview with Stephen Attenborough of Virgin Galactic

By Paul Joseph

Entrepreneur and adventurer Richard Branson and his two children will be the first space travellers on Virgin Galactic’s test flights that will begin next year, Superyachts.com have been told.

In an exclusive interview at the Monaco Yacht Show, Virgin Galactic CEO Stephen Attenborough said that it was only right for the boss of Virgin to demonstrate that the specially-designed space shuttle is safe for the general public to use.

Anyone over the age of 18 who passes a physical examination will be allowed to embark on the unique voyage, which will take people into space for 2.5 hours, for the cool sum of €200,000.

Each astronaut will receive a full photographic record of their trip, as well as a party to celebrate their achievement.
