Swiss luxury watch brand Hublot have opened a new boutique in the heart of the German capital of Berlin.

Located on Kurfürstendamm – one of the city’s most prestigious streets – the store was inaugurated by Hublot CEO Jean-Claude Biver and brand ambassador Maria Höfl-Riesch, one of Germany's most successful female alpine skiers.

The pair conducted a ribbon-cutting ceremony before inviting guests into the lavish new space.

The Boutique has been designed to reflect the brand’s signature – ‘Art of Fusion’, which is characterised by a passion for unconventional combinations of materials and innovation in the art of watchmaking. The store features high-tech displays and a wide variety of building materials, with carbon fibre, metal and glass combining with wood, leather and rubber.

Hublot CEO, Jean-Claude Biver, said: "The Boutique reflects the brand's characteristic combination of innovation and tradition, luxury and design, past and present, which represents our take on fusion.

"This opening is an important step for us, because our Boutiques allows us to offer the very best service and a particularly in-depth, all-round, perfect Hublot experience, all of which will serve to further strengthen our relationship with our customers."

A small Champagne bar provided refreshment, whilst guests were given exclusive access to the Vendôme Collection, a range of unique watches only available in Hublot Boutiques.

Hublot was founded in 1980 and gained wide attention after becoming the first Swiss luxury watch brand to combine precious metals with functional rubber.
