New Jaguar F-Type Unveiled in Paris

Iconic British car brand Jaguar officially revealed the all-new F-Type at an exclusive event in the gardens of the Musée Rodin Museum in Paris last week.

Available in three models – the F-Type, F-Type S and F-Type V8 S – the two-seater, convertible sports car is billed as representing a return to the company’s traditional design principles, focusing on performance, agility and driver involvement.

The car’s engineering is centred on Jaguar’s acclaimed rigid and lightweight aluminium , with ideally balanced weight distribution that allows its involving rear-wheel drive dynamics to be explored to the full.

The F-Type and F-Type S models are powered by Jaguar’s new 3.0-litre V6 supercharged petrol engine, whilst the F-Type V8 S – which can reach 60mph in 4.2 seconds and has a top speed of 186mph – boasts a newly developed member of Jaguar’s V8 engine family.

Adrian Hallmark, Global Brand Director at Jaguar, said: “Jaguar is a founder member of the sports car segment with a rich sporting bloodline stretching over 75 years, and in the F-TYPE we’ve reignited that flame.

“The F-TYPE isn’t designed to be like anyone else’s sports car. It’s a Jaguar sports car – ultra-precise, powerful, sensual and, most of all, it feels alive.”

The F-Ttype will be available for £58,500, the F-Type S for £67,500 and the F-Type V8 S for £79,950.

Jaguar says that the first customer deliveries in the UK will begin in mid-2013.
