New Porsche 911 Carreras To Debut in Frankfurt

Boasting an aluminium and steel composite construction, the new Carrera and Carrera S models weigh in at 45kg lighter than their predecessor. Additionally, the body is lower than before whilst the wheelbase is 100mm longer.

The new Porsches also offer enhanced performance by virtue of their upgraded engines (3.4-litre in the Carrera; 3.8-litre in the Carrerra S), producing 350bhp and 400bhp respectively.

As well as a larger engine, the Carrera S comes with 20" wheels, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV)

The cabins in both models are partly inspired by that of the Carrera GT, and come a new high-resolution multifunction screen. The centre console rises towards the front so that the gearlever can be placed close to the steering wheel

The Porsche 911 Carrera is priced from £71,449 and the Porsche 911 Carrera S from £81,242. Both models will go on sale in the UK in December.
