New Richard Mille Tourbillon A Luxury Cycling Accessory
Luxury watchmaker Richard Mille has honoured the four-time Formula One World Champion Alain Prost with a new limited edition timepiece.
However, the most surprising aspect of the watch is that it is themed around Prost and the brand's shared passion for cycling, rather than motor racing.
Created in collaboration between Prost and Richard Mille, the 30-piece RM 70-01 tourbillon, is specially designed to sit more easily on the forearm in order to aid cyclists.
It features a mechanical odometer on the watch along with a unique totalizer to track the miles cycled, which are displayed in a titanium window.
The watch also comes with a baseplate and bridges made of extremely durable grade 5 titanium and 70 hours of power reserve.
Earlier this year, Richard Mille created a pair of special edition sports timepieces inspired by two of the world’s pre-eminent Olympic athletes.
Richard Mille was founded in 2001.
