News from Monaco: Yacht-inspired design for the Eurocopter EC155 revealed
A design collaboration between Andrew Winch Designs, Eurocopter, and Edmiston, this new helicopter concept has been designed specifically for use on superyachts.
As to be expected from a concept designed with the luxury yachting lifestyle in mind, the new Eurocopter has comfort at the forefront.
According to released drawings from the designers, the helicopter sports several exterior designs each inspired by the shape of ocean waves, while the interior features a teak floor and adjustable leather wrap-around seats with carbon-fibre back shells and fold-down armrests in the centre.
Completing the picture are "floating" LCD screens and headphones and a medium twin-engine supplying all the power. Reports suggest the aircraft will be fitted with the very latest and highest-performing autopilot available.
The unveiling comes a year after Andrew Winch Designs emerged victorious from a competition to design the ultimate Super yacht Range Rover.
