Over Yonder Cay Island Paradise Gets New Golf Course

By Paul Joseph

Over Yonder Cay, one of the world’s most idyllic private islands, has been enriched by the addition of a new nine-hole golf course.

Located in the sublime Exuma chain in The Bahamas, the island is already home to a lavish array of amenities, including floodlit tennis courts, watersports, a state of-the-art gym, 12-seat movie theatre and two luxury sailing yachts.

Now guests can enjoy the benefits of a pristine nine-hole, par three course where they can get into the swing of things amid the most beautiful surrounding imaginable. The course traverses much of the 72-acre island, with its breath-taking views of the Bahamian ocean, known for its incredible palette of every shade of blue.

After a testing round of golf, guests may want to unwind with a couple’s massage in a location of their choosing, or take a dip in one of the island’s numerous infinity pools or hot tubs. Or if they still have the energy, perhaps explore some of the region’s attractions including the famous swimming pigs, swimming with sharks, or Thunderball Grotto (as seen in the James Bond movie Thunderball).

Over Yonder Cay is available for rent to a single group of up to 28 guests, accommodated in the island’s four stunning villas surrounded by lush green landscape.

The island is located just 265 miles from Florida and 70 miles from the Bahamian capital of Nassau. Guests typically arrive by seaplane direct to the island, and transfers from Nassau or Great Exuma are included in the rental rate, along with all food and drink, activities and amenities.
