Perrier-Jouet unveils its debut 21st century vintage
Luxury champagne house Perrier-Jouet has unveiled its new 2002 Cuvée Belle Epoque; the first vintage champagne from the producer this century.
Although it won’t officially be available until February next year, tasters say the latest vintage possesses a subtle citrus aroma that is both delicate and rotund.
This aroma is accompanied by a poised flavour aged over six years with vibrant sparkle, endless bubbles and an elegant colour that belie its depth.
Presented in the trademark Belle Epoque transparent green bottle with Emile Galle floral décor, the 2002 appears it will be a joy to both see and sample.
Perrier-Jouet has previously released a Cuvée Belle Epoque Rosé also from 2002.
