Platinum Perfection with the Monsieur de Chanel Watch
Another watchmaker hoping to grab the limelight at the 2017 Baselworld fair this March is iconic French brand Chanel and little harm to their efforts will be done by the unveiling of an upgraded version of its Monsieur de Chanel timepiece.
First launched last year, the limited edition augmented model gets a dark new look, featuring a striking black grand few enamel dial.
Other notable features include a 40mm platinum case with a sapphire crystal caseback that flaunts the movement inside, along with jumping hour and retrograde minute hands, and a Caliber 1 movement.
Only 100 of the new Monsieur de Chanel watches have been created, each priced at $63,000.
For Chanel, it is just the latest in a string of impressive watch launches. Last year’s Premier Flying Tourbillon and J12XS were notable additions to the company’s portfolio.
Founded in Paris in 1909, Chanel has grown to become one of the world’s most renowned luxury brands.
