The 2011 Porsche 918 hybrid concept is set to debut at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.

Tomorrow sees the start of the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, a long awaited display of all the finest examples of automobile craftsmanship around the world, alongside the 2011 Porsche 918 Spyder hybrid concept.

The 918 Porsche hybrid holds two powerful 500HP V8 engines which work beside two electric motors, supplying a further 218 HP. The vehicle can offer a greener fuel consumption of around 78 mpg and 16 miles on battery alone, which, considering that it’s a sports car will only emit an astonishing 70 grams of CO2 per kilometre.

The mid-engine two-seater will handle a decent performance due to the prospect of 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of around 320 km/h (198mph).

Alongside two other Porsche hybrids, the 918 Spyder will be displayed on a stand with another GT3 R Hybrid race car, using an F1-derived kinetic hybrid system.
