Porsche Adds Platinum Edition to Panamera Range

German luxury sports car maker Porsche is to introduce a new addition to its Panamera range, boasting an array of augmented features.

Available in both rear-drive and all-wheel drive Panamera 4, the Panamera Platinum Edition will include a choice of 3.6l V6 gasoline engine or a 3.0l V6 turbo injection direct diesel engine.

The special edition model comes in a choice of five paint colours (black, white. basalt black metallic, carbon grey metallic and mahogany metallic lacquer). Moreover, several of the car’s exterior details, including the lower half of the side view mirrors, the trim on the trunk lid, the rear diffuser, and the front grilles, boast a special platinum silver metallic finish.

Other notable additions include 19-inch Panamera Turbo wheels, Bi-Xenon Porsche Dynamic Lighting System (PDLS) headlights and parking assist features.

The Porsche Panamera Platinum Edition will go on sale in the US in January 2013, with a starting price of €79,700.

The first Porsche Panamera production model was unveiled at the Auto Shanghai International Automobile Show in Shanghai, China in 2009. In 2011, hybrid and diesel versions were launched.
