Porsche Branches out into High-End Restaurant Market
German luxury sports car makers Porsche has opened the doors to one of the most notable examples of brand extension in recent times – an upmarket restaurant.
Located in Atlanta, Georgia, Restaurant 356 is part of the $100-million Porsche Experience Center and headquarters of Porsche Cars North America which was created to offer visitors a unique Porsche experience.
The restaurant offerrs panoramic views of Porsche's world-class, 1.6-mile driver-development track.
According to a press release, the restaurant features a seasonal menu that “showcases a refined world cuisine made with locally farmed and foraged ingredients,” as well as a vast wine selection from around the world.
“I want guests to enjoy the food that enhances the Porsche experience and fuses it with a sense of place,” said executive chef Kyle Forson.
Founded by Ferdinand Porsche in Stuttgart, Germany in 1931, Porsche has grown to become one of the world’s most renowned luxury sports car manufacturers.
