Belmond Reid’s Palace, one of Portugal’s most luxurious hotels, has announced an annual gastronomic festival this June that will bring together the best of European culinary talent.

The festival will see 8 Michelin-starred chefs from across Europe, including Luís Pestana, Executive Chef of Belmond Reid’s Palace, descend on the hotel for the lavish event.

Guests will have the opportunity to attend master classes organised by the chefs and to dip into their expertise and knowledge.

Other events will include an outdoor party where chefs, winemakers and producers from all over the world will set up more than 20 stalls. Guests can watch the chefs at their live cooking stations and even talk to them one on one.

There’ll also be a magnificent pyromusical show, as well as a Stars dinner, a nine-course experience that will include contributions from all of the attending Michelin-starred chefs.

Chef Sergi Arola will serve up caviar and foie gras, while Pedro Lemos will pay homage to the local love for fish by presenting a bluefin tuna with mushrooms and wasabi.

Meanwhile Luís Pestana will use Madeira wine to flavour Wagyu beef that will also feature truffles, foie-gras and secret Madeiran ingredients. Finally, Pedro Campas, the Pastry Chef at Belmond Reid’s Palace, will close the experience with a dessert of passion fruit, cottage cheese and honey cake.

The Art of Flavours Gastronomic festival will take place from the 8 - 10 June. Tickets are priced at €140 per person, while the Stars Dinner will cost €200 per person.
