By Paul Joseph

Italian fashion house Prada has opened its second flagship store in Kuwait as part of its on-going joint venture with UAE-based retailer Al Tayer Insignia.

Spread over two floors and a total of 850 square metres, the store is one of the largest in the Middle East, and is the second Prada retail space to open in the Arab state of Kuwait in just a matter of months.

The latest store features a full range of Prada’s women’s and men’s products, including ready-to-wear items, accessories, bags, shoes and eyewear.

Prada are just one of many luxury brands to make inroads into the Middle East market in recent years, with the oil rich Emirates states providing a vast amount of business to western companies.

Prada was founded in Milan, Italy in 1913 by Mario Prada.
