Ralph Lauren Polo Shirt to Feature Wearable Technology

High-end fashion label Ralph Lauren has unveiled its eagerly awaited Polo Tech smart shirt for men – a move that represents the brand’s first foray into the smart wearables apparel market.

The $295 shirt, which underwent an initial trial at the 2014 US Tennis Open Championships, features sensors knitted into its fabric that can read biological and physiological information of its wearer.

Its sensory receivers are also linked to a new, adaptive workout fitness application that records the real-time biometric technology gathered from its sensors.
