Remy Martin Crystal Decanter on Display in Beijing

World renowned French cognac makers Rémy Martin have launched a stunning crystal decanter, said to be the first nine-litre decanter in the world.

Created for Louis XIIIILe Salmanazar, the decanter was created by crystal manufacturer Baccarat and is currently on display at the Louis XIII Boutique in Beijing.

The one-of-a-kind piece was conceived by 20 master crystal-craftsmen and a master sculptor awarded the Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. A grand total of 15 kilogrsams of crystal went into the creation of the collector’s item.

“Innovation is written in the legacy of LOUIS XIII,” says Ludovic du Plessis, Louis XIII Global Executive Director.

“Today Louis XIII creates Louis XIII LE Salmanazar, a decanter so rare, there is only one in the world. A collector’s masterpiece, this exquisitely unique decanter stands as the ultimate symbol of Louis XIII’s history, tradition and passion for craftsmanship.

The decanter is priced at around $450 000 and can be viewed or purchased at the world’s only and exclusive Louis XIII Boutique in Beijing.

Rémy Martin was founded by E. Rémy Martin in France in 1724.
