Classic car auction house RM Auctions is all set for its inaugural sale at London’s Salon Privé luxury car show and Concours d’Elegance later this month.

The sale, which takes place at the Syon House estate in West London on 23 June, is only open to British-built cars and has attracted 57 historic automobiles, including 16 Aston Martins, 11 Jaguars and 9 Rolls Royce’s.

One of the centrepiece attractions is expected to be the historic 1926 Rolls-Royce Phantom I Experimental Sports Tourer, the first prototype Phantom I Continental to be fitted with sports body ‘torpedo’ coachwork by Barker. The car is estimated to fetch between £400,000 and £800,000.

Max Girardo, Managing Director, RM Europe said: “What is nice about this sale is that we have selected some genuinely rare and interesting cars and motorcycles while also offering a very comprehensive selection of British marques that represent a wide cross-section of some of the best loved and most keenly collected models.”

Other notable entries include a 1929 Bentley Speed Six “Le Mans” Style Tourer, a 1962 Aston Martin DB4 Vantage Convertible, a 1955 Bentley R-Type Continental Fastback, and a 1961 Sunbeam Alpine Harrington Coupé.

Boasting over three decades of experience in the collector car industry, RM Auctions is the world's largest auction house for quality automobiles.

Founded in 2006, Salon Privé has become one of the UK’s most eagerly anticipated social events, drawing enthusiasts, collectors and buyers of modern and classic super & luxury cars from far and wide.
