Roberto Cavalli Launches ‘Gold Edition’ Fragrance

By Paul Joseph

Italian fashion label Roberto Cavalli has launched a limited edition fragrance called the Gold Edition.

Limited to just 3 units, the fragrance bottle comes and its minaudière of the Gold Edition perfume are presented in a lockable jewel case complete with rich brown and leopard printed satin.

Conceptualised and devised by the Roberto Cavalli himself, the box is made of gold-plated brass print with a crocodile print and an eagle shaped fringe dangling from the box.

A lapel finished with 138 white and 121 black diamonds is enveloped around the neck of the bottle, which can be detached and worn as a ring or as a pendant.

The scent is described as offering sweet top notes of saffron, blended with animal and woody oud (a hallmark of most Arabic perfumes) in the heart and mysterious incense at the base.

The Roberto Cavalli Gold Edition will be available for sale this Spring.

The first ever Roberto Cavalli boutique opened in Saint-Tropez, France in 1972. Today he is one of the world’s most recognised fashion designers.
