Rolex Create Daytona Rainbow Timepiece
Luxury watch brand Rolex has designed a new limited edition timepiece featuring 36 sapphires in the colours of the rainbow.
The bezel of the Daytona Rainbow timepiece is set with baguette-cut sapphires forming a rainbow pattern of reds, oranges, yellows, greens, blues, mauves and pinks sapphires to produce a kaleidoscope of colour.
Meanwhile the 36 sapphires are accompanied by an additional 36 diamonds studded on an 18-karat yellow gold case case and 8 diamonds on the watch’s 44mm dial.
Other notable features include a Swiss automatic calibre 4130 movement, a 72 hour power reserve and water resistance up to 100 metres.
The first Cosmograph Daytona watches were introduced by Rolex in the early 1960s, named after the famous 24 hour sports car endurance race at the Daytona racetrack in Florida, US.
The Rolex Daytona Rainbow timepiece is available priced at $89,100.
