Rolls-Royce Unveil ‘Black Badge’ Cullinan Model

Iconic British car marquee Rolls-Royce has introduced an eagerly awaited ‘Black Badge’ version of its ultra-luxurious Cullinan SUV.

Over the past few years, Rolls-Royce have launched the Black Badge versions of its Dawn, Ghost and Wraith models.

Now, adding to the brand’s Black Badge Collection, which gives a special dark-themed treatment to Rolls-Royce cars to help attract younger customers, the new Black Badge Cullinan SUV features a striking visual update as well as enhanced technical aspects too.

Under the hood is Rolls-Royce’s 6.75-litre V12 engine which churns out 29 more horses and extra 37 pound-feet of torque than the standard Cullinan, taking the total to 600 hp and 664 lb-ft.

In terms of aesthetics, it gets the signature Black along with a contrasting hand-painted Coachline in gold. The owners can pick their own bespoke exterior paint if they wish to.

The signature Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament is presented in black chrome, while chrome surfaces such as the front grille surround, side frame finishers, boot handle, boot trim, lower air inlet finisher, and exhaust pipes are darkened.

On the inside, the Black Badge features a headliner woven with fibre optic lights to resemble the night sky and comes with a “technical carbon” veneer on the trim that takes the usual carbon-fibre finish and gives it a more premium, three-dimensional look.

Deliveries of the Black Badge Cullinan SUV will begin between the end of 2019 and the start of 2020. Pricing has yet to be confirmed.
