Salon QP 2012 Kicks Off at London’s Saatchi Gallery

By Paul Joseph

The fourth edition of the Salon QP watch fair kicked off in earnest today, with thousands of watch enthusiasts and key industry figures attending the high-profile event at London’s Saatchi Gallery.

Many of the world’s most renowned watch brands are exhibiting at the 3-day fair, each hoping to attract the attentions of new potential customers by showcasing their latest wares as well as their classic collections.

Amongst the brands in attendance this year are Frédérique Constant, the Swiss watch-makers who were only founded in 1988, making them one of the youngest companies at the London show. Their first visit to Salon QP, Frédérique Constant are premiering their WorldTimer piece at the fair.

A strong contingent of British watch brands are also present this year, including Schofield, Robert Loomes and the Bremont Watch Company.

Bremont, who captured plenty of attention at last year’s Salon QP thanks to their collaboration with Rolling Stones guitarist and bassist who worked together on a range of clocks, will be showcasing their new Victory watch.

Salon QP runs at the Saatchi Gallery in southwest London until Saturday.
