The seven piece Santos de Cartier collection will include one style that will remain exclusive to Mr Porter, the menswear counterpart to the popular online shopping destination Net-a-Porter.
Santos de Cartier is the brand’s square watch boasting distinctive nails on the bezel. Pink gold, yellow gold, and steel watches will all be part of the collection, with the web-exclusive style will have a black grained leather strap.
“The new Santos de Cartier watch is an authentic and contemporary re-working of a classic. It presents an excellent opportunity to provide our global Mr Porter customer with a brand that we know they have been waiting for,” said Toby Bateman, Mr Porter’s managing director.
The collection will go on sale at Mr Porter in early April. Mr Bateman indicated that many customers had placed requests for Cartier timepieces through the site, which represents the first time Cartier has sold its timepieces online.
Founded by Louis-François Cartier in Paris in 1847, Cartier has grown to become one of the world’s most illustrious luxury brands.
