The 2013 edition of the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) watch exhibition will kick off in Geneva, Switzerland in less than a month, with this year’s instalment expected to be one of the most exciting ever.

Now in its 23rd year, SIHH will once again draw the world’s biggest watch brands as well as an exclusive crowd of 12,000 visitors and journalists who will descend on Geneva’s Palexpo exhibition centre for the prestigious 5-day fair.

Amongst the sixteen brands in attendance will be iconic names from the world of watchmaking such as Audemars Piguet, Cartier, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Montblanc, Officine Panerai, Piaget, Vacheron Constantin and Van Cleef & Arpels.

Several of these brands have already unveiled new creations ahead of the prestigious Geneva event, and will be hoping to use SIHH 2013 to spread the word about their latest wares to the global watch community.

As well as providing watch makers with the chance to showcase their latest designs, the event will also incorporate an exhibition called “The Mastery of Time”, which has already travelled to three high-profile watch fairs in 2012.

Organized by the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH) and based on an eponymous book by Dominique Fléchon, the exhibition is designed promote the culture of time measurement, in all its forms, around the world, by presenting more than 100 artifacts and historically significant timepieces.

SIHH 2013 will run from 21st-25th January.
