SimRoom Launches $25,000 Games Simulator Shell

The gaming industry is constantly striving to push the boundaries with new and original ways to create a fully immersive experience for users.

With augmented reality still in its infancy, companies are having to work within the current restrictions of what is technologically possible, and New Zealand-based entertainment experts SimRoom have certainly don’t their bit.

SimRoom have created the SimPod 1 – a human-sized games simulator shell that closes users off from the outside world to provide them with a truly immersive experience.

The SimPod 1 comes in a sleek silver and aluminium combination and features space-age doors that swing open like the gull wings of a supercar.

The simulator shell has integration of TOOB dome screen offering  a 360-degree view of the user’s gaming terrain and D-BOX for flat screens up to 55 inches., whilst a range of customised features are also available.

SimRoom previously launched other gaming rigs including DisplayStation 1 and VisionRacer – 32

The SimPod 1 is priced at $25,000 US dollars.
