Snow Star Heritage Kit by Milus Launched in Hong Kong

Amongst the watches on display at this year’s Baselworld fair in Switzerland was a modernised version of a very special timepiece that boasts a unique place in military history.

Created by Swiss watch-maker Milus, the watch is a limited edition version of the brand’s Snow Star Instant Date timepiece given to the US Navy personnel during the Second World War to help them survive foreign or hostile lands.

After its successful unveiling at BaselWorld, the timepiece, which comes in a specially packaged “heritage kit”, was taken to Asia where it was launched at a high profile media lunch in Hong Kong last week.

Limited to 1,940 units, the heritage kit features an elegant pair of stainless steel cufflinks, a silver military ID tag and the Snow Star Heritage watch itself.

Crafted in stainless steel, the Snow Star Heritage watch comes in two limited editions: red gold and stainless steel, each with a 40mm steel case and a black calfskin strap. An easily interchangeable black NATO nylon strap is also included in the kit.

Other notable features include a silver dial, rhodium-plated index hour markers, sweep seconds and a power reserve of 38 hours.

Milus was founded in Switzerland in 1919.
