Sotheby’s to Host Geneva Auction for IWC Timepieces

Swiss watch brand IWC are to place an exclusive selection of historical and contemporary timepieces up for sale at an auction in Geneva next month.

The sale will feature around 30 IWC timepieces, include vintage Ingenieur watches dating back to the 1960’s and 1970’s.

Other notable inclusions will be a Da Vinci Tourbillon ‘Four Seasons’ featuring 18-karat yellow gold, a vintage stainless steel manual Portuguese wristwatch circa 1944, and an 18-karat gold Il Destriero Scafusia, boasting a movement with a diameter of just 35mm and a host of hand-engraved inscriptions and decorations on the case.

Sotheby’s will be holding a preview of the watches at their auction house on New Bond Street, London, from April 12th to April 15th.

Founded in 1868, IWC has grown to become one of the world’s most famous and highly regarded watchmaking companies.
