The world-famous Sotheby’s auction house will be holding a charity auction tonight, in conjunction with Bombay Sapphire, to raise funds for cancer research at the Palazzo Colonna in Rome.

The partnership between Bombay Sapphire and Sotheby’s will see 19 exclusive Martini glasses, created by the world’s most innovative designers, auctioned to raise money for the ‘AIRC Lazio Committee’ and Australian ‘Cure for Life’ cancer charities. The icon of the auction is the “Chalice” cocktail glass, created by Australian designer Peter Crisp.

The Chalice is a fusion of glass, studded with 226 stunning blue sapphires, mounted on gold and platinum. The Chalice glass is said to have an approximate value of $25,000. Other designs involved in the collection will be the exquisite glass designs from Tom Dixon Karim Rashid, Marcel Wanders, Eva Zeisel, Dakota Michael Graves and more.
