Steinway Lyngdorf Launches S-Series Range For Small Spaces

By P. Joseph

Steinway Lyngdorf, makers of luxury, high-performing home audio systems, have launched a new sound system designed specifically for places where space is at a premium.

Consisting of the S-15, a slim mid-high speaker and the S-210, an on floor boundary woofer, the S-Series is targeted at smaller-scale private residences, hospitality establishments, and private yachts. The sounds emitted by the new audio system are said to create the sense of being in a far larger space.

Boasting an innovative patent-pending AER (Ambience Enhancing Radiation) dipole tweeter design, the new series utilises Steinway Lyngdorf’s patented RoomPerfect technology – the first fully three-dimensional room correction technology that digitally maps the sound field of any room to deliver the most accurate, superior quality sound.

Peter Lyngdorf, Founder of Steinway Lyngdorf, said: “When designing the S-Series, it was imperative that we retained the hallmarks of Steinway Lyngdorf, including state-of-the-art acoustical technologies, and the finest craftsmanship and design.

“We stayed true to our values of providing only the very best, while pushing the innovation envelope to deliver the same quality in a much more compact unit.”

The new launch follows the success of Steinway Lyngdorf’s flagship Model D speakers, which marked the first collaboration between renowned piano makers Steinway & Sons and Peter Lyngdorf.

The S-Series system comes with an SP-1 stereo processor, A1, amplifiers, dual boundary woofers and two mid-high speakers, and is available worldwide, with prices starting at $22,100 (£14,100).
