Tag Heuer & Japanese Designer Create Limited Edition Carrera Timepiece

By Paul Joseph

Historic Swiss watchmakers Tag Heuer and world renowned Japanese designer Japanese Hiroshi Fujiwara have teamed up to create a new limited edition watch for the brand’s Carrera line.

The latest in a string of collaborations between the brand and Japanese designers, this latest creation has been given the full name of the Tag Heuer Carrera Heuer 02 Fragment Limited Edition by Hiroshi Fujiwara.

The retro-inspired watch has an eye-catching design that goes back to the roots of Tag Heuer’s hugely popular Carrera line. It features the brand’s own Heuer 02 movement in a stainless steel 39mm case with Fujiwara’s Fragment name and logo on the deep black dial.

The limited edition comes with a “powerhouse” strap, which is a cuff-like strap made of alligator leather, while an additional black and grey NATO strap will also be delivered with the watch.

Only 500 units of the Carrera Heuer 02 Fragment Limited Edition will be available, each with a price-tag of about $7,900.

Originally a DJ in Japan, Hiroshi Fujiwara went on to establish the multidisciplinary creative studio Fragment Design in 2003 and has since entered into high profile collaborations with brands such as Nike, Jordan Brand, Beats and Louis Vuitton.

Tag Heur was founded in Switzerland in 1860.
