Tag Heuer Connected Modular Full Diamond: The World’s Priciest Smartwatch

By Paul Joseph

Historical Swiss luxury watch brand Tag Heuer have launched what is being billed as the world’s most expensive smart watch.

Priced at a cool $180,000, the latest iteration of the Connected Modular watch was created in partnership with Intel and Google and features a 45mm case crafted from 18-karat polished white gold.

The watch is decked out with 23.35 carats of bling, with its bezel, lugs, and bracelet adorned with a total of 589 baguette cut diamonds with VVS clarity.

It also offers an AMOLED display screen with a high screen resolution of 400 x 400 as well as 512 MB memory and 4 GB storage.

Because it’s a modular watch, you can swap out the “smart” screen for a mechanical watch head that’s powered by a caliber 5 movement. This is crucial because you never know when new operating systems and features will render the watch outdated.

In an attempt to join the burgeoning smartwatch revolution, Tag Heuer unveiled the first generation 45 Connected Modular timepiece last year.

Founded in St-Imier, Switzerland in 1860, Tag Heuer has grown to become one of the world’s most famous luxury watch makers
