Tag Heuer Silverstone Chronograph exclusive re-release

By M. McDougall

Swiss luxury watchmaker Tag Heuer has given fine watch aficionados a chance to wear one of its most coveted timepieces with the re-release of the iconic Silverstone Chronograph.

When it was originally released, the watch was the first to feature an automatic chronograph movement which provided owners extreme precision timing comparable with other timepieces on the market.

Priced at US$6,500 each, the watches display the same distinctive curvature as the original designed to emulate the famous English racing track of the same name but with updated movement and new colours.

The 2009 Silverstone edition houses an updated Calibre 11 movement with Dubois-Depraz module, anti-glare sapphire crystal both front and back, and a date window located at 6 o’clock.

The re-released Tag Heuer Silverstone is available in either blue or brown with a perforated leather alligator strap.
