Tesla all-electric supercars lead the speed stakes

Offering high performance with a clear conscience, Tesla Motors design slick supercars with an eco-friendly focus.

The flagship of electric-car company Tesla is the Roadster, one of the world’s leading all-electric zero-emission vehicles.

Conforming to all USA and EU durability and safety standards, it is the only electric highway-capable production car available for sale in the USA and Europe.

Not compromising on design, the Roadster is available in 13 colours which can be metallic or non-metallic.

Standard are leather seats in either black, dark gray or beige. Alternatively, customers may choose premium leather seats available in three solid colours; mix and match with nine colours and two styles for a two-tone appearance; or microfiber seats with a soft, suede finish.

Over 150 Roadsters have been delivered to environmentally-conscious customers and there is currently a waiting list of over 1,000.

Tesla also produces the Roadster Sport, a higher performing, sportier version of the original. The Sport does 0 to 96 kilometres in 3.7 seconds, compared with 3.9 seconds for the standard Roadster.

Set to join the Roadster in late 2011 is the all-electric seven-person Model S sedan, anticipated to offer unprecedented battery packs offering between 265 and 370 kilometres of range. The smaller Roadster has a range of almost 400 kilometres.

Tesla Motors focuses on developing electric, zero-emission vehicles with exceptional design, performance and efficiency. Tesla vehicles combine style, acceleration, and handling with advanced technologies to make them the fastest and most energy-efficient cars in the world.
