Luxury hotel group Avani has opened its first ever Thailand property in the heart of Bangkok.

Situated in the Thai capital’s bustling commercial district of Asoke-Sukhumvit, the Avani Atrium Bangkok has been designed in a contemporary style and features a total of 568 guest rooms and suites.

The top levels of the 23-storey hotel are Executive Floors where guests have access to a range of special privileges. Rooms and suites on this floor contain 40” LCD TV’s plus DVD player and office appliances, with complimentary cocktails and canapés every evening.

Other notable areas of the hotel include a connect zone for internet access, printing and charging, and a Pantry zone where casual drinks, snacks and light meals are available. A Japanese teppanyaki restaurant, Benihana, will open in the hotel early next year.

Seven meeting rooms with flexible layouts and the latest A/V equipment can host anything between ten and 400 guests.

Launched in 2011, Avani Hotels & Resorts is part of the Thailand-based Minor Hotel Group and has six other properties in Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Malaysia and Mozambique, with further openings planned in Asia, the Indian Ocean and Africa.
