The “Shape Your Time” Exhibition by Cartier

First launched in 2010 as a “new symbol of confident masculinity”, the latest incarnation of the Calibre de Cartier is billed as a performance-level sports version of its predecessor.

To mark the new launch, Carter put together an exhibition at Singapore’s Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza called “Shape Your Time”, featuring six watches chosen to represent the brand’s technical expertise in contemporary men's timepieces.

Taking centre stage in the exhibition was the new Calibre de Cartier Diver which features an ADLC-coated unidirectional bezel that produces clear sound signal while in rotation.

“The sound of a rotating bezel is of the utmost importance for Cartier,” said Carole Forestier-Kasapi, Cartier's head of movement development “Think of it as the closing of a car door. The right sound makes you think of quality. And that was the sound we went for.”

Other notable features include a 42mm case that sits inside a choice of either a brushed steel or 18-karat pink gold case measuring only 11mm thick, making it one of the slimmest dive watches around.

Founded by Louis-François Cartier in Paris, France in 1847, Cartier has grown to become one of the world’s most illustrious luxury brands.
