The £3.8 million Whisky from Luxury Beverage Company

Luxury Beverage Company has unveiled what it claims to be the most expensive drink in the world – a whisky encased in 8,500 diamonds.

The Isabella’s Islay whisky is available in two editions, with the most expensive costing £3.8 million ($6.2 million), owing to its 8,500 diamonds, 300 rubies and the equivalent of two bars of white gold covering a fine English Crystal decanter. Found inside is a Very Old Single Malt cask strength Islay whisky.

The common-or-garden version – called the Isabella Special Edition – retails for £450,000 ($740,000), and boasts crystal, white gold and diamond lettering.

Each individual Isabella Islay is handcrafted to the buyer’s liking, whilst the whisky inside both the editions is also available in refills.

In an official statement, the UK drinks maker said: “Given the exceptional growth in the luxury whisky and beverage market – particularly in developing economies – this product was crafted to take the whisky and beverage market to a new level.

“Combining premium whisky and finest crystal with gold and diamonds encrusted by the most respected jewellers in London, this is the first time this has been done in the world whisky market.”

Luxury Beverage Company received attention as the makers of the world’s most expensive non-alcoholic and Halal beverage – the Ruwa Original, which costs £3.4 million ($5.5 million), and also boasts over 8000 diamonds.
