The District Miami: New Restaurant Opening in South Florida

By Paul Joseph

Visitors to next month’s Art Basel contemporary arts fair in Miami will have a new dining destination to enjoy after the opening of The District Miami

Tucked away in Miami’s vibrant Buena Vista neighbourhood, just moments from the heart of Art Basel, the new restaurant is billed as offering Pan-American fusion flavours in a stylish but inviting setting.

The brainchild behind District Miami is Managing Partner Alexander Ringleb, whose experience includes renowned restaurants such as Casa Tua and DeVito’s in Miami, Balthazar & Pastis in New York and Wolfgang’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills, California.

Speaking ahead of the opening, Mr Ringleb said: “The District Miami will be more than just a new restaurant in the ever-changing Miami culinary scene.

“I wanted to create the perfect combination of a warm and inviting atmosphere with enticing cuisine. With its Pan-American fusion, The District Miami will embody what Miami is today, a true blend of cultures.”

The restaurant’s décor was also selected by Mr Ringleb, and features a hand-painted ceiling- by renowned local artist Juan Rozas, custom-made Westchester-style leather couches and industrial loft-inspired touches of metal, wood and exposed brick.

In addition to its Pan-American cuisine, The District Miami also features a bar offering a vast selection of carefully curated boutique wines, available by the glass or the bottle and artisanal craft beers, available on tap or draft.
