The $30,000 Gold-Decked Phone From Gresso

By P. Joseph

Gresso, makers of luxury communication devices, have launched a new mobile phone handset decked in gold, crystal sapphire and leather.

Priced at $30,000, the Luxor World Time Gold boasts a body made of 18k gold, a screen framed by two-sided sapphire crystals, and a rear clad in genuine black Italian leather.

The phone’s front panel is decked with an ornamental ultra-thin bezel of polished solid 18k gold, whilst the keypad is fitted with crystal sapphire keys that sport laser etched numbers and letters.

As well as its lavish adornments, the handset also boasts six independent Swiss watch mechanisms displaying the time in New York, Tokyo, Paris, London and Moscow. Owners of the phone can set the sixth and final time to whichever time-zone they prefer.

The Luxor World Time Gold phone will be available to purchase from official dealers and online from May 2011.
