The $7,000 Coffee Table that Doubles as a Touchscreen
US retail giants Hammacher Schlemmer are selling an ultra high-tech coffee table that also serves as a fully functional 32 inch touchscreen computer.
Priced at $7,000, the table features a Windows 8 computer that allows owners to enjoy the relaxing environs of their living room whilst watching videos, interacting with maps or playing games.
An antiglare LCD screen acts as an enlarged tablet and boasts a 1366 x 768 resolution, offering sharp images in any type of lighting and viewable from nearly every angle. A tempered-glass surface keeps the LCD screens safe from spillages.
The computer houses an Intel Core i5 3.2 GHz processor, 6 GB of memory, 500 GB hard drive, and is Wi-Fi and Bluetooth-enabled.
Based in Niles, Illinois, Hammacher Schlemmer was founded in 1848.
