The Heritage Black Bay Dive Watch by Tudor

By Paul Joseph

Amongst the new products on show at the Baselworld watch fair in March was a new dive watch from Tudor called the Heritage Black Bay.

The latest addition to Tudor’s Heritage Collection, the new timepiece is a fresh interpretation of a model that first appeared in 1954 – a period that saw the emergence of the first diver watches.

Boasting a domed dial featuring luminescent hour markers and a burgundy bezel, the watch also features elongated lugs, reworked and resized to produce a contemporary 41mm steel case.

Other notable features include a black fabric strap either with a steel bracelet or a second strap in exclusive aged leather. The watch is waterproof to 200 metres.

An offshoot of the iconic Rolex watch brand, Tudor Watches was introduced by Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf in 1946.

The Tudor Heritage Black Bay is priced at £2,00 ($3,200).
