The Métiers d’Art Crocodile Timepiece by Cartier

Iconic French jewellery house Cartier have created a new limited edition timepiece featuring a motif of a crocodile.

Limited to just 30 pieces, the Métiers d’Art Crocodile Watch was made using a special technique called ‘Cameo’ that uses natural agate to draw out hues of bluish black and shimmering white around the crocodile motif, which has become synonymous with the Cartier brand over the years.

The watch comes in an 18-karat white gold case and features a flying tourbillion complication and a crown with a sapphire cabochon

Other notable components include a manual winding Manufacture Calibre 9452 movement, a double adjustable folding buckle in 18-karat white gold, a black semi-matt alligator skin strap, and water resistance up to 30 metres.

The Métiers d’Art Crocodile Watch has been created as part of Cartier’s 2013 Métiers d’Art watch collection.

Founded by Louis-François Cartier in in Paris, France in 1847, Cartier has grown to become one of the world’s most illustrious jewellery houses.
