The Mauritius Collection from Patrick Mavros
Jewellery and art brand Patrick Mavros has created a stunning new collection inspired by the dramatic coastline of Mauritius.
Designed by Forbes Mavros, son of the company's founder Patrick, the new range pays homage to the coastal environment of the Indian Ocean island, featuring motifs of seashells that were washed up onto beaches and found by Mr Mavros and his friends.
Situated in the middle of the Indian Ocean, Mauritius is an ancient, tropical island surrounded by large lagoons and coral reefs.
Speaking about the new collection, Forbes Mavros said: “I live in the North East of the Island, surrounded by azure waters and shaded with giant mango trees, colossal banyan groves and tall coconut palms.
“It was here that I was inspired to create the first Patrick Mavros jewellery range to be born outside of Africa.”
Mr Mavros added that he wanted the collection to “express a natural femininity and present a contrast to the bold African designs that are so recognisably Patrick Mavros.”
Each piece in the collection was designed and hand-made in the Patrick Mavros Mauritius atelier.
