The Oris Williams F1 Team “600th Race” Timepiece

By Paul Joseph

Luxury Swiss watch brand Oris have created a special edition timepiece to mark the Williams Formula One team’s 600th F1 race.

An official watch partner of Williams for a decade, Oris have launched the new 600th Race Edition chronograph, which is inspired by the high-tech cars of Formula One.

Featuring a multi-piece stainless steel case, the watch has a tachymeter as top ring coated in black DLC. The minute recorder at 12 o’clock and the hour recorder at 6 o’clock, along with the date window at 6 o’clock, also illustrate its sporting pedigree.

The black matt dial with blue elements and the WilliamsF1 logo emphasise the strong connection, whilst the innovatively designed flexible horns respond with the same adaptiveness as racing suspensions.

Sir Frank Williams, founder and team principal of the Williams Formula One Team, said: "Williams and Oris have a long association – sharing a passion for innovation and timing precision.

“As we celebrate the milestone of competing in 600 Grands Prix I'd like to thank Oris for their valuable support of the team over so many years.

“This special edition watch is reflective of the team's achievement and a reminder that, like all Formula One teams, we are competing against the clock when the race starts."

The 600th Race Edition timepiece is limited to 600 pieces, each presented in a luxurious wooden box, and priced at £2,080.
