The Range Rover Sports GTS-X from Overfinch

Amongst the array of cars on show at last month’s Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK was the new Range Rover Sports GTS-X from British tuning company Overfinch.

Designed in a unique copper orange, the new model boasts a modified 575 bhp 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine, it is being billed by its makers as the most powerful Range Rover Sport to date.

The modified engine enables the new model to reach 60 mph in just five seconds – almost a full second faster than the standard Supercharged V8 Range Rover Sport – and to reach a top speed of 145 mph.

Other notable mechanical additions include a driver-controlled electronic valve release exhaust system, whilst on the exterior there are sculptured colour-coded side panels, vents and door handles with a gloss black mouthpiece incorporating daytime running lights.

The interior features full nappa leather with contrast copper orange stitching across the seats, headlining, boot door, door cards and pillars, carpet mats and dashboard.

Kevin Sloane, Overfinch Chairman, said: “The GTS-X is a performance-orientated vehicle with an upgraded engine and incredible agility making it our most powerful Sport model to date but one that retains the high quality finish that has become the Overfinch hallmark.

“When developing a vehicle of this kind there is a danger of becoming obsessed with increasing power and sacrificing other key attributes, but one of the GTS-X’s strengths is its balance.

“There is equilibrium between the power, styling, comfort and usability, in keeping with our principle of sympathetically enhancing Range Rovers. It remains unmistakably an Overfinch – refined luxury and, as a limited edition vehicle, highly exclusive.”

The new range Rover Sports GTS-X is available priced at £147,500.

Founded in 1975 under the name Schuler, Overfinch have grown to become world-renowned experts in high performance derivatives of Range Rover models.
