The Supercars of the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show Car Deck
Port Hercules is set to play host to 120 extraordinary superyachts, 40 new editions and over 580 exhibitors in September for the 26th annual showcase of the Monaco Yacht Show.
For the first time in 26 years, the world’s finest superyachts are being joined by a fleet of the latest and greatest supercars. Shifting our focus from yachting to automotives, we look at 5 of the estimated 10 models set to display at the inaugural MYS Car Deck.
Rolls Royce Dawn
Presenting a well-refined classic, British designers at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars will proudly display the Rolls-Royce Dawn at the Monaco Yacht Show Car Deck.
Symbolising a marriage of traditionalism and subtle modernity, the historical Rolls-Royce model attempts to draw a younger crowd, one obsessed with luxury, but looking for a contemporary twist on a high-end icon as they celebrate 113 years of operation in the motor world.
Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder
Lamborghini is a brand name synonymous with luxury and design innovation. Recognised on a global scale, it’s almost certain that their LP 610-4 Spyder will deliver yet another impressive set of shapes for fans of the Italian brands to revel in. The Huracan isn’t only an aesthetic crowd-pleaser, but with a sharp and sporty performance repertoire, is bound to attract attention.
Tesla Model S P90D
Forward thinking automotive brand Tesla are no doubt itching to show-off their new creation. The progressive American brand are the main contenders in crafting electric cars that supply both speed and have a sporty aesthetic appeal. Their S P90D edition will be on show this year, boasting a particularly high-speed performance, laced with an air of luxury.
Armoured Cars by Centigon
Believe it or not, there’s a world leading specialist in the subject of creating well-armoured cars. The French armourers will be showcasing two different, and yet both heavily armoured vehicles - the Range Rover and Mercedes Benz Class S550.
The 30cm and 65cm thick armour is manufactured to provide an on-land solution for the security conscious, and provides another dimension to a varied and exciting display at the Monaco Yacht Show 2016… if visitors can take their eyes of the yachts, that is.
