The Superyacht Lifestyle Arrives at The Deck in Miami

Mehmet Bayraktar is the man behind North America’s first superyacht marina, Island Gardens Deep Harbour on Miami’s Watson Island. After unveiling The Deck at Island Gardens, offering panoramic views of Biscayne Bay and Downtown Miami, we take a look at how this new development is bringing superyacht life to the shores of Miami.

“The addition of The Deck at Island Gardens honours Miami as North America’s newest superyachting capital, but also, as a one-stop entertainment and lifestyle destination,” explains Mehmet Bayraktar, Chairman and CEO of Flagstone Property Group. “Visitors can come by either land or sea, and relax in the lounge while enjoying the best waterfront views in South Florida; overlooking the Biscayne Bay and the Downtown Miami skyline.”

Bayraktar commissioned renowned Miami nightlife entrepreneurs, Michael Capponi and Eric Milon, to activate the waterfront destination, an amenity of the superyacht marina.

The vision was to bring together all of the high-level components needed to develop the ultimate Miami hotspot; including the finest music, culinary, leisure, entertainment and health and wellness offerings, complementing the splendor of the world’s largest yachts and waterfront views.

“We’ve had an overwhelming response from local socialites and the yachting elite since our opening last month,” said Michael Capponi, entrepreneur and co-founder of InList.com.

"The Deck at Island Gardens comes alive weekly with the Friday Dinner Party, Wellth Saturdays with activities such as waterfront yoga, and on Sundays, we’ve introduced a luxe speakeasy brunch and an exclusive sunset lounge concept complete with nightlife and music.”

After opening in early January, Island Gardens Deep Harbour is now fully operational and is already welcoming superyachts from around the world; not to mention providing nightlife and daytime luxury surroundings for visitors in search of the best South Florida has to offer.
