The Time is Right for Blancpain's Saint-Valentin Timepiece
With February fast approaching, it’s time for many of us to seek inspiration for what to buy for that special someone in our lives.
For lovers of luxury watches, Blancpain have provided plenty of food for thought with the creation of a limited edition Valentine’s Day special called the Saint-Valentin 2017.
Eschewing anything overly-sentimental such as hearts and flowers, the watch’s designers instead opted for a simple and minimalist design augmented with a dash of bling.
The 29 mm case features 68 diamonds dotted across its steel bezel and lugs and another 8 diamonds on the mother-of-pearl dial. The watch is also filled with a number of notable details, such as a red tipped arrow which represents the second hand, and it comes with interchangeable straps in red and white.
Inside the watch is the Caliber 913 movement with a glucydur balance-wheel fitted with micrometric regulating screws and equipped with a balance-spring in silicon. Through the sapphire crystal caseback, you can see the white gold oscillating weight adorned with a snailed bevel, polished angles, as well as straight and circular Côtes de Genève.
