The Vintage Curvex 7-Days Power Reserve Watch by Franck Muller

Amongst the array of stunning pieces on display at October’s World Presentation of Haute Horlogerie & Jewellery in Monaco was the latest offering from renowned watch brand Franck Muller.

Hand-crafted at the Genthod factory in Geneva, Switzerland, the Vintage (Curvex) 7-Days Power Reserve wristwatch features a remarkable power reserve as indicated in its name, requiring an extra barrel to enable this impressive level of performance.

The 11 O’Clock window is the visual indicator for the amount of power currently left, whilst the seconds are displayed at 6 O’Clock.

Each of the watch’s mechanical bridges have been fashioned to perfection, with the corners and curves joined in precise harmony. Côtes de Genève stripes and a red ruby decorate the brass arches, whilst the movement itself contains a total of 27 rubies.

Speaking about the new timepiece, master watchmaker Pierre-Michel Golay, said: “The beauty of the Vintage Curvex 7-Days Power Reserve, the detailed craftsmanship and the movement’s design are extremely precise.

“The complexity of this execution is what makes it an undeniable Franck Muller classic.”

Founded in 1991 by Franck Muller in partnership with the Haute Horlogerie specialist Vartan Sirmakes, the Franck Muller brand has grown to become one of the world’s most famous and innovative watch brands. Today the company has more than 40 boutiques around the world plus 7 production sites in Switzerland.
